i will be going through said spoilers in order as presented in the main story so uh. yeah. don't look if you aren't ready. because i ain't even ready. but god knows i will be waltzing out of work early because i got all my stuff taken care of in the last few days. totally not in prep for this or anything

i do like sebek has not considered that he could just. change his clothes because it's a dream. because he "left" his school uniform back in lilia's dream so he's still in the armor. like. very big brain. and something i'd probably not think of because i suffer from a lack of imagination

because the dream team got sent into epel's dream. and they reacted accordingly
sebek in particular seems like he isn't ever going to recover from this shit
because dream epel sure is. something. i did kind of laugh with hearing the sound effects that were definitely epel walking. but i feel like the rest of it is just punishment because i laughed
it's funny since sebek is so put off and yet unsure. because he's just something's off?????? isn't this guy shorter than lilia?????? and ortho confirms yeah this dream counterpart is bigger than jack howl. oh dream hijinks
the idea is rather curious because even in his dream epel is in pomefiore. though this shit gets even more uncanny when epel's dream versions of vil and rook show up. because there's talk of epel transferring to savanaclaw
vil saying epel beat him in a fight. just. so weird. but i guess in a happy dream epel would have probably have that one sided rivalry of his highlighted. if you can even call this a dream. it's just so bizarre that yeah at first it was funny and now it's just kind of okay where's the door
vil is laying on the praise so it's just............ 
but epel actually wakes up pretty quickly. i'd say there's a god but in this game it's a gremlin because grim reminded epel of vdc
ngl the chapter following epel waking actually took a while to load. like. i almost kind of forgot why i had my phone off to the side. it had to take its sweet time to load because of the battle with dream vil and rook

this actually is all fun because epel was telling the dream npc's he wouldn't forgive them for pretending to be vil-san and rook-san. he does not subscribe to a world where he didn't actually earn anything. we love to see it
and epel is also mortified by his dream self. hate that ortho had to show that to us again but kind of worth it for epel's reaction

but now the dream team is currently +1 epel. so that's fun
i closed the game for about half an hour so it wouldn't overheat my phone but gonna open it up again
it's very funny how. nightmare-ish epel's dream was. like. very nice we didn't spend eons in there like lilia's. but i guess there was no reason to. lilia's was from a memory. epel's felt like a shallow fanfic concept of what would make him "happy"
maybe epel's younger and doesn't know true suffering yet

so the dream team is in rook's dream now. and it's only been one part into it but i'm realizing i made a very false assumption that this would be like lilia's dream and this being about a real life experience that made rook happy

the good news is that epel had a little fun at the beginning: he was the only one to enjoy traveling to a new dream. so good for him. since he's gonna be suffering for the rest of it
in rook's dream, vil isn't even attending nrc. he's to fancy pants school instead. which. is. a choice
nazuna's birthday is the day of the damned in this dream world
honestly a lot of this is rook going off quoting various interviews and whatnot. but that one in particular was about neige starting at rsa, i think, and talking about referring to vil as senpai instead of vi-kun there
ortho just encourages him because obviously they're on a mission to wake up everynyan. or some of the nyan
also i gotta say that rook's seiyuu is actually pretty decent with pronouncing french words. like. it's not intense vocab but the fact it's not word mush and distinguishable is cool. i know i totally bullshitted verbal french exams back in the day and would do well so it's not hard but. maybe i want to focus on something besides the trauma of these visuals

it segued into a fucking rhythmic but i didn't take screenshots i was too frazzled. it was basically the same map of one of the absolutely beautiful practices from chapter five. the one with the purple notes. at the very least it's similar because those sliders were there in the same places and you remember when you suffer
in flash back form, apparently epel decided they would do absolutely beautiful for rook
it was also the original vocal track so that didn't change. they focused on the dancing part since that'd be more important
epel was the center, silver as ace, grim as deuce, ortho as jamil, yuu as kalim and sebek as epel
kind of funny to me that epel didn't make grim him since grim was actually there to watch and i would consider epel one of the three bigger roles in the song. but honestly i am more than fine with sebek being epel
the beginning of the absolutely beautiful instrumental definitely wakes a raging beast inside me. like. damn
but it also woke something in rook
and some challengers appeared. which threw epel off loop. and. again. same

rook isn't put off like epel was by seeing his dream self but i assume rook's dream self was more cemented in a reality. and more or less matches with vil's description from chapter six

i guess rook's dream was a world where vil didn't overblot. but. that was a real ugly dream, rook
unfortunately i think vil's overblot was a necessary evil for vil himself. and. well. happiness isn't just getting everything you want
I think Idia has a theory that the dreams/nightmares are very superficial and eliminate sources of sorrow to make things "happy." Rook's case just takes it to overdrive if he just doesn't want Vil to overblot and dismantles so much to get rid of Vil and Neige's rivalry.
if you love two things it makes sense to want to bring them together
well. rook's version of them is totally wrong. okay so maybe i do ship them but definitely not like that. but now that gets to live in my brain forever

Just saw a comment about Rook casting his unique magic extremely fast so he can tag Vil before he sinks into the darkness. I guess I never thought about how they all do kinda pace out their unique magic chants.
sebek was commenting on epel's unique magic in his dream at the start and he was impressed by the 70~80% success rate. which is what i assume stacks up and prompts sebek to comment not being aware of pomefiore's stamina/strength in addition to their beauty. like. he's seen all three of them use their unique magic like it was nothing

My conspiracy theory is that Jade was the first solo club to go because the Pop Music Club went first and he was paired with them for Vargas Camp. So obviously Malleus will follow after the next athletic club because he was paired with Science Club.
