[IC: body horror, distressed bird behaviour, OOC: briefly talked about communication issues] So I heard from Carrie that Ryslig is ending soon and Stocke plurked about it despite having also left it some time ago, so I guess I'll do the same! I played Shootie there when I was still in med school. I wrote him as a Tranquill->Unfezant harpy! It was fun.
He's more comfortable with Pokemon being affectionate, than humans, so he was actually more affectionate with other monsters, that part was cute. Even if I made the body horror aspect of his transformations really awful, fff.
(Melting bones a la Shinichi shrinking into Conan in the Detective Conan manga... bones becoming more hollow and porous like birds' bones, etc.)
I messed up because I was trying to appease everyone in a player plot until it exploded due to my failure to communicate adequately, I also got blamed for missing hints dropped only IC but not commuicated OOC-ly only so I never realized it was a problem until after droppung, but I still have fond memories and it inspired a lot of creativity.

I gave him an enchanting singing voice and he never used it because it's such a cheap, ignoble way of hunting, according to Trip. He'd rather give his prey a fighting chance, etc.
Sad monster hates being a monster, thinks he can reverse the transformation by ripping his feathers out, briefly loses ability to fly because of it. Sad bird with self-destructive feather plucking habit, basically.
He has scaly little, taloned hands, like his birdy feet, by the way.

Unused, but he got resorted shirtly before I dropped when the ratios were out of wack with new monster types: s Goomy slime! Extremely weak, cannot open doors by himself, but unkillable. No nucleus

Gooomy slimeeee! If I had gone through with apping Akari after bringing her for the last fourth wall, I think a Hisuian Goodra slime coulda been cool for her. (During the fourth wall, she was an Arceus centaur!)

Yeah! There are so many cool potential monster designs based on Pokemon, I woulda been happy with basically any sorting. I was much the same way with Kirby. There were only a few types where I couldn’t immediately conceive what a potential design would be like. Naga was absolutely inspired on the mod’s part, though.
If I could choose, I would've been uncreative and gone with Serperior Naga, so, it's nice that mods pick, ffff.
