My FIRST concern would've been 'blackface' or some kind of racism--but it also fits her SO WELL and there's precedent in the games for Gods to be different races (as well as hey, culturally they were likely not 'white' despite common portrayals in America...)

Hestia is a hearth goddess, and a 'virgin' goddess but that doesn't mean she's not all about taking care of your hearth and home (aka your people).

The series is... To call it "fast and loose" with the mythologies would be an understatement (except for the really specific bits Omori gets spot-on). It can be fun. Hades II's design for Hestia is by any sane standard superior.

this was, to be scrupulously fair, a year or two ago, in reference to Hades I Aphrodite

(and you'd better believe I saw her Hades II design and winced a little bit, hoping that the design changes were a coincidence and not a sop to guys like that)

(I'm going to guess that such isn't the case, because you know they also made her more aggressive in her stance and several other variations)
