It's a number easy enough to get from the canon itself by simply grabbing his birthday from one of the documents he looks at and then doing the math based on the year that he states it is in dialogue from the game. So that's that.

Dennis Collins is either 38-41 years of age, or somewhere in his mid 40s to early 50s.
I've never decided on what age to definitely make him, and canon never states an exact age or birthdate for him.

The first estimate is based on CoC Campaign information where in 1923 Collins is described as "fairly young, maybe mid 20s". (I've stretched it to be mid to late 20s and it's still really young compared to the estimate in later canon.)

Therefore doing the math of 11 years later in 1934 when Malevolent takes places in its main continuum, he would be much younger than Arthur's guess based on visual cues given to him via John.

Which is where the second estimate comes from, direct Malevolent canon, as Arthur describes Collins as "an older Irishman, mid 40s to early 50s". Straight up quote.
So. that's why I just leave it ambiguous. Because. /weighs hands
