I'm just gonna judge him a little bc you know - this very charming, pro social man is also a total murder hobo.

He's not as murderous and given to random rage killings in some parts of the legendarium as in others...

But the key incidents of the Green Knight and that time he brutally murdered some jerk and accidentally killed his girlfriend too are kind of big deals.

Clarissant: She's been afraid she might kill someone before. Gaheris, her brother, who murdered their mother. She didn't do it, though.

She probably could kill someone abusing her community if she really really had to and other options were not available but she'd rather curse 'em and let them learn their lesson good and hearty.

Melle: The only reason Melle doesn't have a body count is that she was too small to do much damage when Irad was kidnapped.

Amena: She was totally braced to bash someone's head in with that fire extinguisher if she had to, to save SecUnit, but she's very glad all she killed with it was a drone. Even if she also feels the moral weight of SecUnit's defense of her. Which. You know what she doesn't want to talk about this she's taking it to her therapist!

Jyn: She was sentenced to that prison labor camp for attempting to assassinate an Imperial governor. Also she's a former partisan of Saw's and she kills a bunch of people on screen. She also definitely would have mutilated Krennic's body if Cassian hadn't stopped her. She's uh. She's a messed up person who's been taught to be an instrument of violence.

I mean she is also a deeply moral person for all her claims she's not but she is inescapably a child soldier who has done some terrible things.

Nausicaa: That Nausicaa is a murderer is a huge thematic element in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Her first kill is a big deal in the plot, not quite a duel, and happens the way it does because Nausicaa is enraged "like an insect defending the forest."

Pogge: ...yeah uh. She's had a lot of late night talks with herself all "I am a soldier! In a war! Part of a war is that people kill other people! I accept that and I have to be ready!"

She's not though. She's not ready.

Pogge is a good girl and her war is gonna break her heart in a lot of ways.

Wire: Is a clone trooper so yes, he has been trained to kill although within the framework of lawfully conducted warfare. He is a lucky clone trooper in that his chip didn't fire and he wasn't forced to participate in the genocide of the Jedi. He did immediately plunge into a very ugly struggle for survival immediately after that though. He has some regrets.

He thinks sometimes that some things were self defense but some were murder, and he has to shoulder that, because his brothers aren't here.

Aspera: uh. Uh. Uh. The thing is - once she's put into a position where it's her life or the life of someone she's chosen to protect she absolutely will struggle as hard as she possibly can. Where that struggle takes her...

Clorinda: Madame Nemesis. The bastard had to threaten her toddler to push her that far but once she was there she plotted it out with full cold intention.

Aamaw: I don't think he has to use lethal force very often but he definitely has. He regrets it. It's never routine to him. But those are his choices, and he makes them anew every day.

OK coming back to this --- I do tend to assume most people are capable of violence if pushed exactly the right way. This despite the fact that most people will never kill or even seriously hurt another person. It's all in the circumstances.

That said Glimmer has killed people but fewer than you might expect, really. And she would never, say, murder an unarmed prisoner, and her support of other war crimes vanishes when it gets real. She COULD be capable of doing terrible things. But in canon we see her specifically deciding not to.

Bly - oh absolutely he says. But uh. Look, all the clones have been raised to believe they are inherently violent and need to be tightly controlled for the sake of the galaxy. Bly has certainly killed people but I don't think he's as murdery as he thinks. One: I don't think what they do while literally mind controlled really COunts.

Two: thinking about how life would be so much easier if you were a bounty hunter and could just murder your friend/commanding officer's asshole mentor...
