my 13 year old lhasa apso had been on the decline for a week weeks, and then it just... all came to a head thursday night. i was up all night, save for about an hour and a half of sleep, and then i picked him up at 6:30 and didn't put him back down. i was holding him when he died.

i don't know for certain what was wrong, it's really not the point. the last slide started like.. sunday when he went off his food, so i got a new food, and some toppers and he ate monday and tuesday.. then didn't really eat wednesday, and didn't at all thursday. thuirsday night he wouldn't even take water.

he's back. he's sitting on my desk. i've got ink prints of his paws and nose and a bunch of fluff.
