I'm playing Black Eagles again since the first time I did that route it was before the DLC was even announced iirc
and uh, Hubert is doing really well in the charm department.
So he might get the Dancer job.
His charm is the second-highest in my entire squad, right behind Edelgard.
so once I unlock the trinkets shops... I guess I'm doing tea parties with mister gloomy <3
(I kid, I love his smarmy ass)
right now, taking a break because I was playing in handheld mode and the battery was at 31%
I remember I liked to make Ashe my dancer because he can always pick locks, and then Yuri because of his relic.
I also never finished BE post dlc
My first Dancer was Dorothea (BE), and then my second was... I forget, but Verdant Wind (also pre-DLC). My incomplete Blue Lions run has Yuri as the dancer.
I'm trying to do different things from my previous run, but... what works, works. XD
Dorothea is like... the default dancer I think
yup, exactly. and she was the best I had aside from Edelgard
But in this run? Hubert is. With like 18 charm.
I love 3 houses, it's soooo good
But it's also long as hell. Everyone always complains about having to do white clouds all over again lol
Yeah, that can be a bit slow, so it's understandable!
yeah but white clouds has the best garreg mach theme
I'm still so sad that after 3 Houses all we got was... engage. :/ like, it feels like three steps back after a game full of complex stories and characters. So many gray areas where no one is ever fully completely in the right of things! So interesting!!
Engage is just so flat comparatively.
I should do a silver snow run, but I dun wanna turn my back on Edelgard :< she's my friend
Engage was... fine. It feels like this was an experimental stage, but I think they tried to balance too many characters, so a lot of them felt very one or two-note. I haven't finished it even once, alas.
I heard that Silver Snow isn't really a great route (I've read spoilers, but I won't mention any.) but I feel that on Edelgard.
Plus turning your back on her loses her and the amazing Hubert.
Not that she's not amazing. I'm gonna have a blast turning her into a trickster/dark flier/ gremory for funsies.
She hits so hard that I think she'd be great for any of those classes
(yes, I've used her default/bonus classes, but I'm trying something new!)
Seeing what the church of Seiros does? I can't blame her at all for her choices.
I think the only thing I wish the game had was like some sort of golden route.
(but I know that's never going to happen)
and I was pretty sure it never would even back then
I keep wanting to say more of my thoughts regarding 3 houses but work has been a lot lately and my train of thought keeps jumbling lol
Maybe I'll be more coherent later today.
It's okay. take care of yourself. This plurk will still be here. :3
I mean, we also have 3 hopes? So there's that?
But as I recall engage didn't really have much in the way of a writer?
I could not get into that game because they practically copy/pasted the storyline of awakening but worse... a lot worse.
At least with Dark Deity, I wished I liked it.
Engage is just... I don't even care.
Back when it first came out I was like "why are they doing Grima again?" And someone on my plurk list was like "well it's not Grima it's a different evil dragon!!!" But does that really matter if the plot is still the same?
You can paste a new name on something but if it's a recycled plot... it's still the same thing.
I care about like... 2 characters. Alfred and Zelkov. That's it.
I honestly would have liked it more if it
was a sequel to awakening a thousand years later or something.
Yeah! I could see them toying with how the world changed!
It could have been so cool
Props for the sightly unique map designs and properties to the goals.
But on the story side, it wasn't a winner for me.
I can't play a FE game solely for gameplay and supports, the world has to have more rhyme and reason and less poorly done copy/paste.
Yeah. It's ultimately why I put it down.
