Unfortunately, just as every Sega game does for a year, every Capcom game has done this for years for one important reason:

Barely anyone is around that can actually crack Denuvo, very few games get cracked, so it works

So it’s just. Status quo as it always has been.

Also the mtx are all just stupid things you can evidently earn in game without a ton of effort, it’s typical “Capcom execs made them tack on mtx after the game was done” bollocks. Neither of these things are good, but neither are new.
