i did really enjoy the little ending to the rolan plotline (he sided with me and dame aylin)

i also greatly enjoy dame aylin's aesthetic.

i always wanted a selunite paladin and looked up weird rules carveouts to make it happen (since paladins are lg and selune is cg)

paladins don't have to be lawful good in 5e!

And yeah, paladins have to keep to their oath more than being lawful good.

Most of the time, you have to stay within a step of your gods alighnment.

Because, really. It never made sense for a chaotic good god (like most of the elven gods) to have lawful good paladins.

HIGHLY RECCOMEND, i only didn't do it with mine because you cannot date wyll and astarion at the same time and i was commited to aggravating the vampire with this oath of devotion paladin

oh, i know of the ruleshift, but in 3e there were a few wonky sects that let you have lawful selunite worship, mostly through some combined orders like the sun soul.

like, are lawful good paladins of chaotic good gods unsatisfying in the crunchy sense? yes. however, for me, exploiting weird lore loopholes is even more appealing in the crunchy sense.

like how sune just straight up allows paladins because they're hot.

i've been weaving 3e and 5e together for fanfic purposes and it's been Wild

"i want a cleric who casts fireball" was the prompt that kadath had for her pf cleric

because you can do that even more with pathfinder 1e archetypes. (which you can stack with prestige classes and there are even prestige class archetypes. amazing.)

anyway i rolled through the minsc quest with jaheira (obv)/karlach/wyll. and that's a fun party. wyll and karlach are fun together and i wanted to bring karlach because she's a fangirl of the original games.

the viconia fight was the hardest in a long time made no easier by the fact that i took minsc and jaheira, who are the newest party members with the least set-up. (but i thought they'd get more interesting reactions than my other randos and i was right!)

jaheira was mvp of this fight tbh. and now i found her house??

also what does approval even do? i wonder if there's things i've missed due to my approval scores?

i mean i'm sure that is the case, the game is mighty.

update: i finished wyll's quest and it was slightly buggy.

i rescued the duke eventually and now the game has to play out the scenes with the duke there and also with him absent…

anyway i let wyll decide what he wanted to do so he became the blade of avernus twice.

i have only a very few quests left:

— kill gortash
— kill orin
— put together the body of dribbles the clown
— figure out what's going on at the fireworks (which i tried to do a while ago and couldn't find the best way to get to the top of the building)

i have gale's quest, lae'zel's quest, and karlach's quests left but those things are like "get the crown of karsus" sooooo

i do, i can fly, i just tried to do it with mage hand for whatever reason, lol.

I don't like to use my spell slots/consumables

i did break out my 5 fire resistance elixirs for the house of hope and that was a good decision.

i misinterpreted how many turns i had for the prison breakout and i got basically everyone (two of the gondians got killed escaping) but rip astarion.

that was the first time i've needed withers to resurrect.

anyway i've been using wyll a lot more because obviously you take him along for his quest and i have to say: that one rapier you get is super broken
