OMG yes! The store stuff has a chalky taste...a funny sort of aftertaste.

the fresh stuff is smooth and creamy and a perfect foil for sauces or whatever. It's like I finally "get" tofu.

hmmm. i think tofu is kinda gaggy

went to a tofu restaurant with Japanese friends tonight, with several courses of tofu. One course we made our own tofu! (That was neat!)

wow. that's pretty cool!

It was not a vegetarian "sauteed chunks of tofu with veggies" place....the tofu was used as a base, and in imaginative ways.
