groans. Things were supposed to get better now that he was an upperclassmen.

slams his fist against the locker. "I had this one last year, it never likes to open you have to practically beat it to get it to open."

tries the locker again. It pops open. "Thanks."

"No problem." He smiles "I'm Alex."

offers his hand. "Name's Berwald."

Shakes his hand. "Nice to meet you Berwald. Well, I'm off, good luck with your locker, mate." He salutes and walks off.

checks his watch and sees that there's barely 15 minutes left of class. He grabs his books and starts to wander the halls.

also walking around, trying to find his class, or any of his friends to bother...

knows Niels a little and waves.

grins and waves back, walking closer. "Yo, Berwald! Need a map there?"

Locker jammed and trippin' over freshmen. What 'bout ya?

"Was forced to have classes with a freak, met a boy who looks like a girl, and saw Alejandro..." laughs at what he tells him.

snorts. "Fun first day."

"Yeah...So, how does it feels to be a junior now?" elbowes him.

grins widely. "Excellent. Can drive to school...scare underclassmen."

nods. "Yeah, driving's awesome~! Hey, wait, already a bully yourself? pffft...don't forget you still have to respect us seniors." points to

himself, grinning.

shoves him, still grinning. "Keep tellin' yerself that."

groans and playfully punches his shoulder. "Berwald, we both know you worship the ground I walk, no need to fake such strenght..."

"M'apoligises. Only way I cope." tries to sound humble and bows his head.

stops grinning and makes a serious face. "I forgive you..." reaches out to pat his head, pushing him down to make him trip.

on the ground, smirking as he yanks hard on Niels's leg, taking him down too.

falls besides him, then sits down and glares. "Bastard!" yanks his glasses off.

tries to grab them back. "Idiot. Can't see!"

holding his glasses far from him. "I should leave ya like that...But, yeah, first day, I'll give you my mercy..." puts his glasses back on.

scowling good naturedly. "Don't know why I put up with ya."

"Because I'm awesome, really..." winks playfully at him. "...This, or you must really like me..." laughs.

"Maybe. Might just be insane." stands and offers him a hand.

takes his hand, smirking, and stands up, shoving the dust out of his clothes. "Insane we all are..."

nods. "Bitches, making us study...Thank Odin by the end of the year I'll get rid o' this hell~!" raises his arms and squeals in happiness.

half-laughing, half-grumbling. "Write when ya reach freedom, 'kay?"

wraps an arm around his shoulder and curls his hand into a fist, messing with his hair. "I will~! and I'll even come and visit ya~!"

puts a hand over his chest. "M'heart's pounding at the thought."

let go of him, laughing. "I knew ya would like my company~! Actually, I bet you'd even cry if I didn't write~!"

scoffs. "Ya'd pine the whole time. Beg me t'skip and visit."

"My, I wouldn't be like that...ok, maybe. Damn, how do you know me that well? Heh, but I bet you'd skip and come see me, wouldn't ya?"

"Got years of practice. But *me*, skip?" his eyes go wide before he grins. "Hafta make it worth the trip."

"Yeah, you. Make it worth? A trip is always worth if it is with me!" opens his arms a bit, pouting slightly, then grins.

raises his eyebrows. "Yer not gonna try an' bribe me? Y'know, might forget you between visits..."

"Bribe? I don't have to, you'd come like a dog after me!" waves his hands. "Forget me? how dare you...Cruel."

crosses his arms. "Ya deserve it, leavin' me all alone. An' I don't hear ya promisin' to visit."

smirks. "Aw..." titls his head to the side, mocking him, then hugs him. "Poor lil Berwie, he'll be alone...Damn, I promise to come and visit

you, happy now?"

sniffles and hugs him back with one arm. "Better keep yer promise, or m'heart will break. What class d'ya have next? M'starving already."

"I...Have no idea. Who cares, let's get ourselves a lunch~!" starts walking, still hugging him with one arm.

"Think the food got better over the summer?" notices Niels's arm, and leans into it a bit.

pretends he didn't notice that and keeps walking. "Nah, probably still looks like that awful vomit...Ew." sticks his tongue out in disgust.

makes a face. "Could be used for torture."

"I think it *is* used for torture...But hey, now they sell coffee~!" chuckles, then smiles at him.

grins. "Dreams do come true~"

"They do~! and, I got one, it actually tastes good~!" squeezes his shoulder. "Berwald, I'm fucking happy now."

"Won't believe it 'til I taste it." laughs and shakes his head. "But seems to be keepin' ya awake."

"Yeah, it'll be what'll keep me alive along the year..." lowers his head a bit, then shakes it, also laughing.

"'M not enough t'live for? Ouch."

"Ok, you'll be the second thing keeping me awake~!" rolls his eyes. "So everytime I fall asleep on my books, you'll appear in my room to

"Can bust down the door if I need to." sees the cafeteria and hurries towards the line, dragging his friend a little.

table, waiting for him.

gets through the line pretty quickly, getting a tray full of cinnamon rolls, donuts, and two coffees. He gets a handful of napkins, then

-heads over to the table.

grins as he puts everything on the table, quickly taking his coffee. "Nice, and ya even bought me coffee...don't expect me to pay ya back,

though..." chuckles, drinking his coffee happily.

shurgs and starts on a donut. "Wuld have bugged me fer one anyway."

frowns again, but weakly nods. "Or, would've stolen yours...That'd be much better..." grins, also eating a donut.

"Ya live to torture me, don'y ya?" tries the coffee and it isn't half bad.

snorts. "Suppose so. Ya haven't tried t'kill me yet."

grins and simply sips his coffee. "You haven't tried to annoy me either...Say, something happened during summer? softened a bit, maybe?"

studies his donut intently. "Got...mature?"

raises one eyebrow and steals his donut. "Mature? Right...You came here to ask something, I bet..." frowns, taking a large bite of his donut

"Maybe 'm plannin' something?" stares at the donut, then starts eating it.

laughs. "Was gonna try 'n convince ya t'join debate club. Need members."

"I knew it!" raises a finger, while quietly places his head on the table, he takes a deep breath and stares at him. "Are you mad?!"

grins and quickly takes the coffee, drinking it happily. "Dunno...It's you who want me to join, go figure..."

glares and rubs the bridge of his nose. "Be yer chauffer for a week? Ya could boss me 'round then."

grins and nods. "I like that..." he offers him his hand. "We have a deal."

shakes on it. "Any chance t'get my drink back?"

finishes his coffee and hands him the empty cup. "There, chauffer."

throws it back at him. "Hate ya sometimes."

shakes his head. "no, chauffer, that's not the way you speak...And, c'mon, I know you can't hate me that much..." raises one eyebrow.

grins. "Said I only hate ya sometimes, don't worry."

laughs and reaches to pat his head and mess with his hair. "Good chauffer~! Hey, think we can sneak out and go drive around town? nothing's

happening here..." pouts a bit, standing up.

clears the tray gets the keys out of his pocket. "Sure."

tugs at his shirt to make him move, then start walking down the hallway. "Where can we go?"

follows behind, glancing over his shoulder to check for teachers. "Rather stay near town. Don't have a lot of gas."

nods. "We go to the car, and check where to go after..." keeps walking, nearly running.

hurries up and leads Niels to his car.
