I am probably not getting paid for my vacation time I haven't used, also being told I can't take anymore time off till I am laid off. Huh?

They're required to pay for unused vacation if they prohibit you taking it....
I would re-read your handbook before you argue with them about it.

I am being laid off because of a lack of a position. Just felt kinda shafted that I might not get paid for my earned time.
Just got it in October too. >.<

find a printed copy of your company's leave policies ... and make a copy for yourself. Get the DOL involved if they don't live up to it.
