I like feeling like I get to "know" people here on Plurk v on Twitter - it takes longer. I like them both -- one is like a meeting in the

conference room and one is hanging in the break room

I'll give a real world example. On twitter I got my 60+ year old relatives to read my tweets and that of my wife's seerysm

On plurk they respond to them

and they have been writing their own

hard to put the finger on all the differences but they create different behavior

i like Plurk a lot - as I get to meet many new, cool, interesting people from around the world...the interface is wonderful too

If you ask for opinions on Plurk, it will never go unanswered and may even spur interesting brainstorming among the group. Great resource.

I use every system I can, and come back to them based on how interesting discussions have been. I use ping.fm to hit all of them.

So, I'm mixed on Plurk.

the conversations here are very different than twitter. They go a little deeper, and often a little sillier.

that said, twitter is still a better personal news aggregator than plurk.
