not sure about the knitting wife...would rather have her than someone who is only focused on her job and places that above family/friends

I don't see why you can't be committed to both (sans the knitting), but it IS harder.

well, if you know anything about me you know i value relationships and devote a lot of time to build them. for me it's not either/or

though it's hard i think you can have a successful career and have time for family/friends. i'm trying to live that life.

its definitely possible to do both. i definitely want a career minded woman but gives me my time too.
