made a full pot of coffee -- without putting the pot in the coffee maker. An undo function (or better, cut-and-paste) would have been great.

Who hasn't done that. I usually forget to turn it on, or the worst one for me was when I didn't pull the old grinds out... That was nasty.

yeah, i should be thankful that at least there was coffee. though the wringing it from a rag was less than appealing....
It's better than "Sock Coffee" that I've heard of. Apparently in the military they would throw grounds in a sock, and boil it to make coffee

Mine does pause. Just not for very long. Impatient coffee maker...
