All blank drafs,checks and deposit books that were avoid due to mistakes on them were put at my place.I have to record each number on

My boss found four drafts numbers on the control book,but my void book without any record.
That means four blank drafts lost at that time.
It is so lucky to find them that my coworker forgot to present them to me.
I did not do a record on my book.
My boss was very angry with me.
How did we do about that was better in the future?
I think blank drafts keeper and void drafts keeper should be adject and become one person who can control them efficiently.
