the sock knitters - Even if you only knit socks one way, do you like patterns to provide instructions for both toe up/top down?

dosen't matter to me, but it does seem like a waste of paper seeing as most sock patterns are really simple to change to whichever method

This kind of feedback is very helpful. I'm always looking for ways to make my pattern format more user friendly.

I'm strictly toe-up, but if I find a cuff-down that I like, I modify it. Generally modify toes & heels anyway.

yes.. i prefer top down but some of the patterns are only written toe up. so both would be best!

wow, that would be awesome! Especially the heel part. If only for the heel part.

I'm a toe-up girl but I love the detail that you put into your patterns.

I'm thrilled if a pattern gives options so I can decide what works best for me

I just knit the socks as written, I like them both ways, they both have benefits to me, and if I really like a pattern, it doesn't matter

if it's up or down

knitters are spoiled! That would be a real selling point for your patterns, but I certainly wouldn't expect a designer to it.

after trying to reverse dayflowers, I'd also expect to pay more for a conversation that's not a really simple stitch.
