oh, have a really wonderful time! We had one when 3 of our 5 were still at home. She was from Sardegna and we're still in contact.

This was a little bit of an emergency placement. Original host family did not work out.

Another family hosted from August until now, and we will have Justin (from Taiwan) until school is out.

oh, dear! It's not easy to step in where others have "failed"...poor Justin! Being so far from home in a **VERY** different culture is tough

My explanation was confusing. There was a misunderstanding. Exchange coordinator thought she hada a place for Justin.

It fell through 1 week before he was to arrive. Neither DH and myself or other family could host the whole year.

I was recovering from surgery and had many church obligations and the other family had commitments. So we agreed to "share" Justin.

ok, so you've split the year. Rotary does that.

That way he could stay in our school system and not have to move again. It isn't ideal, but it's the only way we could do it.
