I find that jumping up and down and yelling has the same calming effect and doesn't cost anything.

I think it worked a little bit...we used it on the dog during the 4th. I've heard great things and she was a high strung dog...

but I never bought it again because it didn't work well enough...on the dog

hmm thats kinda what i was expecting. more mental expectation than actual effect
