there were two omitted scenes in "Maggie". The first is when she is first seduced by Pete and the second is how she dies. Significance?
the scene where she is seduced by Pete is implied by Jimmie and Mary's conversation of "Maggie's gone to the devil"
but we are never told for sure what happens and if she actually has "gone to the devil" with Pete. And then the same with her death scene.
What do you guys think is the significance of these two ommitted, but implied scenes. Are they related?
And what do you infer from these implications/What is your take on the freedom Kane allows his reader?
