that although it didn't seem to be an option at registration, once he got into Plurk it was able to find his friends based on his gmail acct

I've been finding some folks by trying their twitter name like this: plurk.com/user/username - most of us are so predictable.

I'm going to follow way fewer here than twitter- will friend most but not necessarily keep them in timeline. I love that feature.

Ditto what banannie said. Adding as friends without following timeline. Can't keep up with the 40+ I already have here.

and doing 1 friendship request at a time for imported Twitter pals is long and slow, back to start after each one
