never used Olympus recorders, but David Warlick has.

We used the WS311M for 5th graders to record weekly announcements. Very easy for them so use.

I loved the USB direct connect feature. I think it only records in wma format. Used Switch to convert to mp3 files

I use the VN-2100PC at school - really easy to use + has the USB direct feature don't know if the model name is the same outside of the UK
