Wondering how the @ reply feature is different than Twitter. Let's see!

It's not really a reply feature (that's what the response box is for), it's more of a "link" feature.

And it won't notify that person unless they are a friend or fan?

IMO, Plurk and Twitter are almost providing different services. The whole experience is so much different.

Plurk took the best bits of Facebook, and Microblogging and combine it together, and adding their own experience. It's interesting.

But there has to be a way to send a message to someone who's not following you. Otherwise, it's a conversation tool with a limit.

yea there is, you can hover over a plurker's name, and then there's gonna be a drop down arrow. Send private message.

's a bit of a blindspot to me. Such as the "delete" plurk feature. The UI could be more effective, but it's in a GOOD direction.

+ing an '@' symbol to automate what it already does would be convenient -as a habit to not always rely on a gui that may one day not work.
