elaborates that the Australian microbrewed Pisner beer at POW is clean & crisp. Not floral nor sweet. Restrained bitterness.

actually Anchor isn't bad after their reformulation a decade back. Yes Muser, we could be replacing a band that cancelled cos of singfest.

that Anchor's a fairly typical Pilsner. Good Belgians to start with would include draught Leffe Brune at Brussels Sprouts/Ooster's.

beer's nice in weather that doesn't make it instantly warm. Yup, I like my beer dark, though I enjoy good pilseners, lagers and golden ales

good stout can be found at scruffy murphy @ east coast. the head remains after you finish the beer: pwr!

writes for a newspaper. Plenty of good European bars in S'pore. In fact, while beer remains pricey here, we have truly excellent variety.

how abt nitrogen cooled beer?

now there's a thought! Actually, it's not so much that beer has to be super cold; it just has to stop getting warm so quickly.

a solution: drink it faster he heard frm another bartender tt scruffy murphy uses nitrogen cooled beer taps..

but once the beer comes out of those taps and is served outdoors, it gets warm anyway. Yup, no choice but to drink fast and order small.

he bottomed up the small glass once during a hot day at the chalet....best thing ever ...

tt's why we drink at nite too

the small glass, which is half a pint (250ml), is a bit too small for me, so I stick to pints. But litre mugs (Paulaner) are too big.

250ml is good for one bottomless gulp, heavenly mana when you hv no time 2 sit down and chill, and is hot and sticky hah.

litre mugs are too chunky to hold practically anyway.. unless it's oktoberfest!
