yes guitar, at the time of that plurk. i also teach other things.
i only play the recorder
I've always wanted to learn erhu, but never got around to it. I should've tried that instead of the violin.
nope, can't teach erhu. bowed strings are not my thing; too much upkeep. Voxy the recorder is a tuff and expressive instrument - keep it up.
it always wanted to learn erhu too. Thinks it's more expressive than recorder
like learning music too--certainly it helps in music appreciation.
interested in theory and piano. though what is triangle, he doesn't know
beakee the erhu emulates the voice well but no one instrument is more expressive than another. it depends on the player.
the triangle is a percussion instrument made of steel in the shape of a triangle.
remembers her music teacher made her play the triangle while the rest of her classmates played the electone organ. Grrr...
hehe the triangle that goes 'tinggg' when you hit it once?
if there's any reason why it's triangle-shaped and not anything else, like... circular?
well, it'd go 'tonggg' if it were 20 times bigger, but yes.
the shape is for stability and ease of manufacture, possibly historical precedent as well.
reminded of the primary school days when she had music classes! nostalgic..
having mental giggles at image of circular triangles rolling offstage, chased by percussionist.
aah the triangle tt i remember my pri sch choir teacher using...
the triangle and the kazoo are probably the most lampooned instruments ever.
what about the castanets?
nobody laughs at castanets cos they do take skill to play well and are regularly employed in flamenco ensembles.
what about maracas then? teehee.

individual percussion instruments have been lampooned so much that people feel compelled to specialise in several to gain more credibility.
maracas are hard to control. i can't play them well.
being able to make music is an wonderful, joyous thing. She plays the clarinet herself.
i know sunday, that's why i added u (for being a fellow musician).
she plays the clarinet too!
i added u because u had thoughtful plurks, amanda

if you guys believe in horoscopes... those seriously detailed ones...
believe.. but not the daily ones
had a birth chart reading with all the planet alignment and time of birth: it was quite accurate
its a good judge of character.. at least for me
annoyed at how often horoscopes, in defiance of all logic and good sense, get character traits spot on. Infuriating!
horoscope is science too man... not ilogical leh
horoscopes are like self fulfilling prophecies too. you read so much about how you're supposed to be that you start behaving that way.
true to a certain extend.. we should just take everything w a pinch of salt
