How do folks use these groups? Any advice?
just saw my acceptance today. Thanks!
I get emails from the sports marketing group I'm in weekly - the person who set it up sends tips and advice and asks for feedback on things.
Next time I get one I'll forward it.
Like a focus group of sorts... right.
just joined - have never used them much really
just joined, my first group on LinkedIn!
sounds more like a "bulletin board" style group
Just joined, Ann! Looking forward to it.
hasn't wanted to work all weekend, so hasn't.
Well, I'll try to find a good use for it -- not sure how it's going to work. I do like the idea of "focus groups"!
I belong to a number, we often swap info, or introduce people to connect them. Nothing too exciting.
yeah... our facebook group has close to 900 people. And I honestly don't know how to leverage it. (Or don't have time)
Ann there is a PR Guy here who has this amazing e-mail list that he sends job announcements to - started as old cut and paste, then went to
html, now has a site and started a facebook group. I think he has like 10,000 people on his list, but not much activity on the facebook grp
I don't know, I think facebook works for some things and not for others. I am doing a project for a client that I think is going to
work for them, tourism related, but for Andrew's list and a consultant friend, hasn't really
taken off. I wonder how much of it depends on whether your target audience is on facebook, or not. In Andrew's case, most of the
people who subscribe to his e-mail list are 30-50 yo and many likely not on Facebook. In the case of the consultant friend she set up
Facebook is better for B2C than B2B. And pages are better than groups, IMO.
facebook, google groups and a blog. A little overkill, so I think she split her audience. Just a guess...
always innovating. Good for you, Ann.
I dunno - I think our audience is so large that a large chunk is on either/or/both FB and LI. But again, the issue of how to best...
serve the audience there?
Anyway, guess we'll experiement togehter - I don't have to have all the answers, right?
no! I will let you know how my project goes.
cool, joined
joined. some local groups as PPU set up meeting to exchange information, which can't be the case for an worldwide group as MPs
but what about subscribers to have preview of contributions and act as a panel for special project?
