15mins walk/sign in/in the locker room/walk;
45-60 mins in the water;40 mins shower/dress/pack/walk to the parking lot.
So for 45-60 mins of swim time you must spend about 100 mins in order to get you in the swim pool. We were usually tired by the time
we reach the swimming pool.
but when you look around all parents are doing it-from 3 month baby to pre-k kids, and why everyone is doing it?
Because the god damn parenting books told you so. Today's society has such high expectation on parents, especially moms. I think if a woman
from 50 years ago drops in our time, she will be shocked how much work we parents have to do without help.
I was reading a book written by a Japanese author. One chapter he was talking about how kids were raised by the community in before 70's
and the impact on his network is a life time continuous expand. We don't have that kind of first hand human connection nowaday, we only got
Twitter, Facebook, iPod...
I can't even begin to picture Nara's ways of communication. That's why I am pretty admin about no electronic toys for her, and no TV, no PC
But how long can I keep her away from electronic pollutions?

some socialists found out that we didn't save time with all utility and appliance compared to our ancestors three hundred years ago.
they might wash the clothes once a month. with the modern washing masching, we wash clothes once a week
and the standard is so high that your clothes must come out like new.
however, it is nice to have internet so we can talk frequently.
save time? NO WAY! We just do more. We buy in the idea of more is better, faster is better, bigger is better...
and look at the damage we did to our health and our earth.
