good move, I've been very happy with PEFCU. Liz and I use HSBC for our high interest savings accounts, and we're very happy with them.

yeah, i am pretty pissed at 5/3 right now... i had overdraft protection via my credit card, but my credit card was accidentally disabled

when i reported a defective DEBIT card... so when i overdrew my account (by like $5), i suddenly owed like $132 in fees. guy on saturday

(after much ado) finally agreed to credit it back to my account b/c there was evidence that i wasn't lying, but said that there was another

charge that would go through on monday, and to call tuesday to have them remove that one too. called today, the manager lady said that

because they had credited me money already, and because there was one unreported overdraft charge from before i was ineligible.

Ugh. That crap is awfule

anyway, it was retarded. the people at the branch here have thus far messed up 3 of my cards, and are not exactly nice either

I talked with Ohler last night. It turns out that before he moved to Portland he _closed_ his PEFCU account.

I advised him to do that.

I still have a credit union account open in Anderson which has been inactive for nearly a decade now that has not charged me obscene fees.

Credit union in Anderson? Independent Federal by chance?
