cheeaun says

but then you are tying yourself down to a single computer.
cheeaun says

sort of. Mozilla plays prism as well
ryanlim says

the web is ubiquitous now. i somehow feel that having someone install a desktop application just to use a service is ... for a lack of a

better word.... unthinkable
ryanlim says
yup. prism exists.
ryanlim says
but not everybody knows how to use it.
cheeaun says
ya, the concept is still unstable
cheeaun says
but i supposed it's the future of web apps?
ryanlim says
maybe. but i think google's got the right idea.
ryanlim says

the internet is the OS.
ryanlim says

ryanlim says
heh. but why lock yourself into a particular network?
ryanlim says

interoperability
cheeaun says

alvin

cheeaun says
oh.. hmm...
ryanlim says
windows live messenger uses the proprietary protocol from microsoft, it won't work.
ryanlim says
but yea, plurk does have instant messaging support (i think for most major protocols)
